Music by Black Composers violin volumes are are graded by difficulty from beginner to advanced concerto-level playing, and offer students collections of music exclusively by Black composers from around the world.
In addition to making this repertoire available, our books also educate through articles and interviews. Each volume includes biographies for every composer, features on Black classical music making throughout history, and profiles of Black role models in classical music, past and present.
So far, Violin Volume 1 is available, and Violin Volume 2 will be available soon! Cello, viola, and bass will follow, as well as a series for carillon. We also intend to publish music for wind and brass instruments, band, orchestra, and chamber ensembles.
